We provide a wide range of services for our patients including
Although the National Health Service (NHS) is often thought of as 'all inclusive' this is not actually accurate. Your doctor has a contract to provide medical services to his patients, which are extensive, but certainly does not cover everything, particularly those involving reports for insurance companies or solicitors that you may ask for. Forms or certificates that are required for, or generated by, the Department of Social Security are normally routinely provided by us as part of the NHS. Similarly, a medical examination such as a pre-employment medical or examination for insurance purposes will be paid for by the person requesting it.
Under certain circumstances you may not have to pay, as your doctor will invoice the organisation that asks for the report to be done. However, you may find that meeting the cost of these medical fees are not included in your policy and you will have to meet these costs yourself. We have, for some considerable time, been able to absorb some of this Non NHS work into our normal working day, and not charged you, but with the ever-increasing requests that we have been receiving, this is proving exceptionally difficult.
We will now charge a fee for all Non NHS work. The scale of fees we charge is on display in our waiting room.
